史畢茲追隨伍茲 創菜鳥年奇蹟

〔自由時報記者趙新天／綜合報導〕美國PGA巡迴賽新人輩出，20歲的菜鳥史畢茲（Jordan Spieth）上週雖在延長賽中落敗，但他例行賽整體表現不俗，他希望新人球季就打進有如「PGA明星賽」的美巡錦標賽。

美巡賽季後賽首役Barclays高球賽本週開打，上一次比賽在這裡舉行是4年前，當時16歲的史畢茲正好贏得美國青少年業餘錦標賽冠軍。業餘時代他兩度稱霸美國青少年業餘錦標賽，這項青少年大賽史上只有「老虎」伍茲和史畢茲曾拿過1次以上冠軍。

時隔4年，史畢茲不僅打進美巡賽，還在菜鳥年就贏得 John Deere 菁英賽冠軍。打完例行賽他的FedEx積分排名第8，本週他站在Barclays高球賽的賽場上，為職業生涯第1次季後賽打拚，目標是打進最後一場美巡錦標賽，PGA史上歷來只有1人曾在菜鳥年從完全沒有排名積分到最後打進美巡錦標賽，那人也是伍茲。
