象隊總教練謝長亨：我不了解事發過程，不過看到布萊恩出手我也覺得很驚訝。抗議也是戰術的一種，但要考量球隊利益，帶動球隊士氣是附加效果，總教練出手前要先安排好，以免場面失控。

猿隊總教練洪一中：裁判權力本來就很大，還出手有點說不過去，不過這種情況比較容易發生在洋裁判身上，他們比較注重裁判權威，因為語言不通，或是翻譯沒有完整傳達，教練與裁判就容易衝突。

象隊球員鄭錡鴻：在國外教練抗議時，很少會跟裁判肢體碰撞，我幾乎是沒看過，頂多是靠很近一直對罵，裁判出手我是頭一次看到。

象隊球員增菘瑋：我覺得是前晚天氣很熱，雙方講話聲音一大，感覺會很刺耳，很容易火氣就上來。教練確實會用抗議帶動球隊士氣，像我在美國小聯盟2A的總教練，當球隊連敗時，會刻意與裁判吵架被趕出場，激勵球員的士氣。
