慈善募款遠征寒地　英國哈利王子抵南極

【李忠謙／綜合外電報導】為了慈善募款，英國的哈利王子與十多位因參加中東戰事的傷殘士兵，昨天終於抵達南極。29歲的哈利王子稱能在十三號星期五達成任務，實在幸運。

這支南極遠征軍兩週前從俄羅斯設立的南極研究站出發，每個人拖著70公斤種得雪橇，在嚴寒的強風中拔少了335公里，才終於抵達南極。除了曾以阿帕契飛行員身份參戰阿富汗的哈利王子之外，其他的參加者都是來自美國、加拿大與澳洲的傷殘軍人，若干人甚至因傷截肢。

原先這是一場為了募款而舉行的競賽活動，但因南極大陸最近刮起強風，主辦單位考量到安全問題，臨時將其改為沒有競賽性質的一般活動。
