南非手語譯員 進精神病院

南非媒體報導，在曼德拉追悼會上「亂比一通」而聲名大噪的手語譯員簡特杰（Thamsanqa Jantjie），已住進精神病醫院。其妻表示，他顯然已經崩潰。

據南非《星報》報導，簡特杰17日在妻子陪伴下，前往約翰尼斯堡附近一家精神病醫院檢查，院方建議他立刻住院治療。簡妻說，過去幾天相當難熬，家人必須提供照應，因為簡特杰有可能已精神崩潰。

簡特杰上周宣稱，追悼會那天，他原預訂前往醫院接受檢查，但為了上台翻譯，他將檢查日期延後。簡特杰在歐巴馬等人致悼詞時，進行手語翻譯，事後手語專家指控他根本胡亂比畫，一下子比「蝦子」一下子又比「搖搖馬」，讓人摸不著頭緒。

簡特杰堅稱自己是合格的翻譯員，當時他因為突然精神病發作，才會失常。南非有關當局稱，簡特杰所屬的「SA翻譯員公司」，現已消失得無影無蹤。
