林書豪傷後復出，今天出戰小牛隊，在兩大後衛哈登和貝佛利因傷缺席的情況下，林書豪扛下得分重任，第一節就演出精彩爆扣，讓火箭隊士氣大振，林書豪上場37分鐘，總共得了20分，但最後火箭隊還是不敵小牛，以104比111敗下陣來。

比賽轉播：「再交給林書豪，帶步之後，中距這邊得到一個機會，彈了一下之後，這球彈進，這是第一個投籃得分。」

受傷歸隊後的林書豪，出戰第一場對上小牛，在哈登和比佛利因傷缺席的情況下，扛下得分重任，第一節精彩爆扣，讓火箭隊士氣大振。

比賽轉播：「差一點點發生失誤，帕森斯再把球給救回來，林書豪在底線這邊過了，到籃底下出來，哇、爆扣，哇、這個球真是猛虎出閘！」

因為背傷休息了這麼久，林書豪和球迷就等這一刻，一口氣連得5分，讓火箭隊第一節以26比20領先小牛，林書豪功不可沒。比賽轉播：「交給林書豪，林書豪在外線的出手，進、哇、今天這樣的一個後場的搭配，還是可以彌補哈登不在。」

林書豪在這個賽季三分球命中率提升到3成75，歸隊後活動力顯得特別好，滿場飛奔，絲毫不受背傷影響，不過比賽進到下半場後，風雲變色，小牛靠著諾維斯基和卡德隆以及艾利斯，拉出一波15比1的攻勢，成功逆轉落後局面，儘管在最後一節，包括林書豪在內的火箭球員，試圖發動猛攻，但還是無力挽回頹勢。

比賽轉播：「林書豪切入到籃底下，犯規了，這個球非常可惜。」

復出首戰，林書豪上場將近37分鐘，投10中6，總共得到20分，不過也有5次失誤，但整體表現仍然相當突出，而魔獸霍華德雖然也有29分進帳，不過火箭隊還是以104比111，敗給了小牛。
