土庫曼總統別爾德穆哈多夫18日宣布，政府將在每個家庭安裝煤氣表，不再無限供應免費天然氣給國民，希望國民節約能源。美聯社指出，這表示該國威權政府認為補貼國民天然氣費用已造成沉重的經濟負擔。
