波馬炸彈客 恐被判死刑

車臣移民佐哈爾與胞兄塔馬蘭，2013年4月15日在波士頓馬拉松賽場終點線附近，引爆壓力鍋炸彈造成3死264傷，4天後兄弟倆與警方展開槍戰，經圍捕後，哥哥塔馬蘭被擊斃，弟弟佐哈爾負傷就逮。
 
經過長達9個月的長考，美國司法部長艾瑞克霍德(Eric Holder)30日宣布，一旦佐哈爾被定罪的話，將可能處以死刑，「有鑑於犯案手法和所造成的傷害，促使我做出求處死刑這個決定」。

不過如果佐哈爾決定受審，最終判刑將由陪審團或是法官決定，但霍爾先公開表示決定判死刑，很可能迫使佐哈爾認罪協商以避開審判，最終可能以無期徒刑收場。（周佩萱／綜合外電報導）
