致命新冠狀病毒 與蝙蝠有關

美國哥倫比亞大學的新研究指出，已在全球造成47人死亡的「中東呼吸道症候群」冠狀病毒與一種蝙蝠有關。

研究人員說，沙烏地阿拉伯第一個病例住家附近的一種吃昆蟲的蝙蝠，身上的病毒與這種致命冠狀病毒的基因百分之百吻合。

沙國已有39人死於這種類似SARS的急性呼吸道疾病。

醫學界尚未找到「中東呼吸道症候群」的傳染媒介，認為和SARS一樣，是由動物傳染給人類。研究人員過去懷疑是由蝙蝠傳染。（法新社）
