傑登史密斯不知是被老爸威爾管得太嚴，或是被好友小賈斯汀帶壞，居然在推特發表驚人之語。他認為「學校是對青少年洗腦的工具」，接著寫道：「如果世上每個人都輟學，我們就會有一個更具智慧的社會。」

身為巨星之子，傑登被父親嚴格看管，在家自習，少有一般正常的校園生活，但他也像所有青少年，很期待早日脫離父母監督，能獨立生活。
