總人口破10萬 頭份客家文化課 熱鬧揭牌

頭份鎮總人口數今年初突破10萬人，鎮公所考量鎮內客家人口比例占9成以上，進行組織調整，規畫新增「客家文化課」，將專責處理各項客家事務；另設立工務課及農經課，期盼藉由組織調整，持續推廣傳承客家文化，提升行政效率。

頭份鎮公所昨辦理「歡慶頭份10萬人，組織調整快樂起航」典禮，副縣長林久翔、鎮民代表會主席黃盛和及里長們等出席客家文化課揭牌儀式，一同搓湯圓象徵公所業務圓滿。

鎮長徐定禎表示，頭份鎮人口超過10萬人次，根據地方制度法可再成立一個課室。根據統計，鎮內有9成以上的客家鄉親，長期受鄰近竹南鎮河洛文化及漢文化影響，客家文化在頭份相對式微，但鎮內的抗日英雄徐驤，客庄媽祖廟永貞宮等，都有豐富的客家故事。為了保存發揚，鎮公所新設立客家文化課專責客家活動業務。

首任客家文化課長徐麗君表示，未來將著重客家教育推廣，活化鎮內展覽場域，將持續邀請在地藝文團體及個人到客家藝文館、中正堂等展覽場所表演，同時積極宣傳客家日、頭份四月八、中秋晚會等各項活動，讓客家文化向下扎根、與時俱進。
