住在花蓮的小宇，從小患有單側唇顎裂，加上爸媽離異，媽媽必須從早到晚辛苦工作，才能維持生活，更無力讓小宇去上幼兒園。也因此，小宇從小就必須學會跟自己獨處，更沒有人會陪他說說話。

羅慧夫顱顏基金會前年補助小宇上學費用，他終於不再是媽媽肩上沈重的負擔。

羅慧夫顱顏基金會每年補助家境貧困顱顏幼童學雜費，五年來已補助兩千兩百多萬元，累積有五千七百七十八人次受惠，但還有許多和「小宇」相同處境的孩子，需要大家幫忙。
